Black Zine Fair Tee 2025
Size 2XL

This limited-edition Black Zine Fair tee features a bold, collaged design screenprinted by PAAL WORLD in rich navy and sunflower inks. Designed by Malachi Lily and Neta Bomani, the shirt channels the spirit of the second annual Black Zine Fair: Discursive Circus—a vibrant celebration of Black creativity, critical publishing, and radical imagination.

Figures inspired by shadow puppets, ancestral symbols, and diasporic folk traditions dance across the shirt, evoking the layered textures of cut-and-paste zines, kites in motion, and the ever-evolving web of Ananse Ntentan. With nods to the performance energy of Janet Jackson’s 1998 Velvet Rope tour and the literary legacy of Alice Crolley Browning, the shirt stands as both artifact and invitation—an emblem of Black publishing futures.

  • Fit & Feel: 100% cotton. Light grey mineral wash crew neck t-shirt made by Los Angeles Apparel. Washed with natural enzymes for a soft, broken-in feel.

  • Each shirt is unique: Mineral wash dyeing creates subtle variations in color and texture. Color transfer may occur—wash separately in cold water.

  • Printed with care: Screenprinted by PAAL WORLD in Brooklyn, NY.

Organized by Sojourners for Justice Press for the 2025 Black Zine Fair. This shirt is more than a keepsake—it’s a declaration of power, presence, and publishing as a liberatory act.
